75610693_2205395646227886_2769391996178006016_nHow many times have you seen the words “No Fems” on a guy’s profile and wondered if that applied to you? And how many times have you tried downplaying your “gayness” even when in the company of other gay men?

For a lot of the modern gay black men, a big part of being gay is still seeming straight and I can’t help but wonder, why do we entertain this demeanor? Do they hope/believe that we will be attracted to it, as if we’re part-time actors waiting for our big break: meeting a masculine guy who will accept and complete us?

What do you think? Are modern gay black men obsessed with seeming straight?

Maybe among the middle-age crowd and over but the younger ones seem to accept themselves and confident about who they really are! 🙂 Naked hugs!

Sometimes I think so, and it drives me crazy… Don’t get me wrong I love the straight acting because it ferfields a fantasy,if that makes sense.

So in order to be GAY you have to act a certain way? Now there’s rules?
