‘QUEER EYE’ STAR KARAMO BROWN’S DAYTIME TALK SHOW IS COMING THIS FALL

Karamo Brown is taking his cultural expertise from Queer Eye to daytime television.

Karamo has landed his own syndicated talk show from NBCUniversal, and the new series has already been sold in 90% of U.S. markets.

This new talk show, aptly titled Karamo, is slated to premiere on September 29 across the country. According to a report from Deadline, Karamo’s syndicated daytime talk show will air on top TV markets through local stations like KTLA Los Angeles, WPIX New York, WATL Atlanta, WLVI Boston, WJW Cleveland, WPHL Philadelphia, WCIU Chicago, and WSVN Miami, to name a few.

On Instagram, Karamo celebrated this remarkable achievement. “My dream since a child has been to help people. I’m doing it with Queer Eye & now I’ll be doing it 5 days a week!” he wrote in a post where he announced the new show on social media. Many of Karamo’s Queer Eye costars shared the announcement and congratulated him.

In a subsequent Instagram post, Karamo looked back on his overall trajectory to get here. The Queer Eye star wrote:

“I was a poor gay black boy who had so many dreams but didn’t know if it was possible… I was broke, scared, alone… but I never gave up on myself and it’s happening! Don’t give up on yourself because your dream will come true too! The life you deserve is possible! I promise you. And I’ll be here to help you through those hard moments 5 days a week on @karamoshow starting Sep 19 2022.”

Karamo is the latest LGBTQ+ celebrity to land his own daytime talk show. Other LGBTQ+ personalities who have had their own daytime talk shows over the years include Ellen DeGeneres (The Ellen DeGeneres Show), RuPaul Charles (RuPaul), Rosie O’Donnell (The Rosie O’Donnell Show), and Anderson Cooper (Anderson Live). Otherwise, Sara Gilbert was a part of The Talk for almost a decade, Andy Cohen was a recurring guest host on Live With Kelly, and O’Donnell had a very infamous run on The View. Currently, Ross Mathews appears as the co-host of The Drew Barrymore Show.
